Future Disco

''Future Disco'' is a compilation brand that brings together a nu-disco, balearic sound, based in London, United Kingdom. Future Disco, Vol. 2 received the Best Disco Album award on iTunes Best of 2009 list. The Future Disco brand also hosts dance nights in various clubs all around the world including Ministry of Sound, The Nest 〔http://www.ilovethenest.com/〕 and Fabric 〔http://www.fabriclondon.com/〕 in London, Space 〔http://www.spaceibiza.com/en〕 in Ibiza, Club Ahjo 〔http://www.ahjoclub.fi/〕 in Helsinki and the Air Club 〔http://www.air.nl/〕 in Amsterdam.
==Future Disco - London==
The Future Disco series was born out of the desire to bring together an emerging genre of disco house music and release a new school of artists like Tiger & Woods, Cosmic Kids, Mario Basanov, Lovebirds and Bonar Bradberry.
Future Disco VOL.1 was released in March 2009 on Azuli Records and Future Disco VOL. 2 was released in September 2009 on Needwant recordings.
The compilation specializes in disco and house, with producers and remixers such as Greg Wilson, Juan Maclean and Todd Terjes taking influences from seventies, eighties and nighties house. The Future Disco mix compilation "showcase's where today's producers are taking the electronic disco sound". The Extended Future Disco Mix was compiled and mixed by the DJ and producer Sean Brosnan. It has come at a time of rising unemployment, similar to the disco scene of the 1970s.
Future Disco Vol.3 City Heat was released in May 2010 on Needwant recordings. The compilation features tracks from the likes of Tensnake, Ilija Rudman and Lindstrom & Christabelle.
Future Disco volume 4: Neon Nights, was released in February 2011. The compilation, on Needwant recordings, gives heavy nods to the inspirational eras of the eighties and early nineties as well as the glamour of New York, handpicking some of the current east coast stars including Escort, Jacques Renault, Storm Queen and Holy Ghost!.
The fifth volume of the series, entitled Downtown Express, was released in February 2012. This edition encapsulated the wider spread of Disco over the preceding year and the various forms of Disco fusion that have arisen from being combined with other genres.
In May 2012, Future Disco released a compilation that was designed specially for a summer season in the sunshine. Entitled Poolside Sounds, this album is a collection of laid back tunes that make up a perfect summer soundtrack.
The next volume in the Future Disco series will be out in early 2013.
Future Disco is released under the Needwant recordings label, who have released a string of successful singles and EP's, the most recent being:-
